Transformers : Robots In Disguise Cheats And Guide

Transformers : Robots In Disguise Cheats And Guide

Few days ago we reported the new update (version 1.2) for the Transformers: Robots In Disguise mobile game. We then took our time to analyze what this update is bringing us. To our surprise, the game update contains quite a lot of new content. It seems as though the new app update for Transformers: Robots In Disguise is more than meets the eye, so we decided to dig into the new update to see what the game has to offer.
With the update, we have received further confirmation of several upcoming sublines for RID. Not only that, a new game mode is also included, with Hasbro telling us what a future update will bring us as well.
You can find out all that and more, after the jump. Previous update (Version 1.1) contained level cutscenes and several new characters. The new update (Version 1.2) which came on 30th April for both Android and iOS is the biggest update for the app so far.

The very first thing the player would see is the giant Decepticon Tower right outside Crown City. This is a new game mode designed to earn prizes. The new game mode is very similar to WFC/FOC Escalation in concept. You will get to fight a certain number of Decepticons before moving onto the next level. Higher the number of levels, better the reward. Health will not replenish in the Decepticon Tower game mode. To get the best result out of this, it’s best to choose two very powerful characters and equip them with the Heal power-up which you get by scanning random Tiny Titans Cards. You can only play the game mode once a day. To play again you have to pay with Cubes or Ultra Sparks (game’s in-game currency). At the end of the Tower Run, the player will get a chance to spin a Wheel and win whatever lands on the pointer. This mostly includes Ultra Sparks.

Speaking of which, a new currency in addition to the cubes has been introduced with this update. Named as Ultra Spark, it’s another way to purchase characters. Ultra Spark acts as the premium currency like any other mobile game. Don’t worry, unlike the premium currency of Freemium Games ( “Free
not really” games) the Ultra Sparks cannot be purchased with real money. You have to scan the logos of the toys once a day to get Ultra Spark. This new currency is the quickest way to unlock characters permanently. You will get the following rewards by scanning RID toys:

  • Titan Guardians – 5 Ultra Sparks
  • Legions – 5 Ultra Sparks
  • One-Step – 5 Ultra Sparks
  • Titan Heroes – 8 Ultra Sparks
  • Warriors – 8 Ultra Sparks
  • Deployers – 8 Ultra Sparks
  • Three-Steps – 8 Ultra Sparks
  • Mega – 10 Ultra Sparks
  • Super – 10 Ultra Sparks
  • Minicons – Character Art and Minicon Power-ups
  • Tiny Titans – Cubes and Random Power-ups

36 characters have been added to the roster. This includes several new characters and repaints of already existing characters. Rumored main villain of Transformers: Robots In Disguise, Megatronus, appears with this update. Megatronus will have several versions of himself, including the Ultra Class which is one of the most powerful characters in the game. Champion Class ProwlRazorpaw and Ironhide also joins as new characters and they are just as powerful as Megatronus. Likewise, already existing characters are now less powerful than they previously were. Enemy health is now noticeably increased as well. This may be due to the fact that the new characters are significantly powerful than the enemies which once were.

Upcoming Clash Of The Transformers subline toys are now added to the roster. There are also toys (repaints and remolds) which might come as separate sublines. It is hinted that a special Halloween themed toy might see the light of day as Pumpkin Optimus Prime.

A new “Collections Page” has been added to the game. According to Hasbro, this has been done to keep track of the purchased toys. Every time a toy is scanned, a “Stamp” will appear in front of the toy name. The new page gives us a clear understanding of upcoming toys and size classes. A complete list will be updated soon.
The Collections Page has replaced the previous Daily Rewards page. From now on, the player will automatically receive the daily reward once the app is opened.

Minicon Power-up is a newly added power-up to the game. To obtain the power-ups you must scan the Minicon toys released for the Deployers. There are three power-ups so far: JetstormSlipstream and Airazor. Once scanned, the player will get a small piece of artwork of the Minicon, a couple of tidbits, and the power-up. The power-up will work the same way as a Kreon and will assist the player during the battle. However, the Minicons will be in their alt-modes rather than the robots modes.

In addition to the three Minicons, a cross-promotional campaign with Nikko RC brings a power-up titled Blitz (also a name of a Minicon from Transformers: Energon) into the game. The player can summon a small RC car to assist during battles. This further hints possible Transformers: Robots In Disguise related licensed merchandise from Nikko very much similar to the Age Of Extinction toyline.
Finally, we have a small update from Hasbro stating that the Transformers: Robots In Disguise Mobile Game will receive “Monthly Events” pretty soon.
If you haven’t tried out this game, give it a shot. Not only is the game completely free without even a single In-App Purchase, but you also don’t even need an internet connection to play. Overall, the game is promising quality content over the planned 3 seasons for the show. Hasbro has received a lot of positive comments for this mobile app, and it will certainly stay that way with cool new app updates such as this
